Today Guatemalan coffee is known worldwide, but this has not always been the case.
In this presentation, Javier Gutierrez will discuss 200 years of coffee history in Guatemala, covering topics like how coffee was introduced to Guatemala, the liberal revolution and its relevance to the coffee harvest and the repercussions of the World Wars. Javier will also share some fun coffee facts from the period 1750 to 1980! The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session section.
Javier is from Caribbean Goods a company that imports and distributes green coffee from Guatemala and is based in Scotland. Caribbean Goods holds an extensive portfolio from single variety micro lots to regional blends.
